New this season:
The GELC has mandated the leagues to have only A-level and B-level teams. No C-level teams for boys ages 12U, 14U and 16U.
Information for teams:
All league players must be registered and paid in full to attend tryouts or team practices. Dates for tryouts will be posted ASAP so check the website for updates daily.
- All players interested in trying out for A-Level teams must be registered and have paid the tryout fee by Feb 20, 2022. Please note you do not have to try out for the A-level, but after February 20, 2022 we will not accept any late registrations for A-level registrations. Also this fee is non-refundable if you decide you do not want to try out. If you have any more questions for this, please reach out to the registrar for help. The fee for A-level trials is $60 and you will see a tab to check off on the registration under your appropriate age grouping.
- 6U and 8U teams (co-ed/pariety) are allowed one friend request. This is only offered in this level.
- 10U: All 10U teams are to be parity play (no A/B levels).
- All players not playing A-level will be leveled on the B teams and play parity. This includes all 12U, 14U and 16U. If more than one team at an age group then teams are leveled to be parity.
- Female teams: All age levels 10U-16U are to be parity play (no A/B levels). If more than one team at an age group then teams are leveled to be parity.
- The GELC is planning league play to begin mid April and run until early July with playoffs and ALA Provincials in mid July. This will allow for the same number of games as in years passed.
Drop-In Dates:
Drop ins for the Titans have been going strong! All dates and times have been added to our website. Check the website for the times/dates for the specific age groups.
There will be a fee of $5 per player. Please note all mandatory regulations set forth by the Alberta government/AHS must be followed.
- Sherwood park titans lacrosse association has teams at all levels. Each division is divided by year of birth.
- Tryouts start in March
- Lacrosse season is typically from April to June. (Dependent on the ice coming out of the local arenas)
- Playoffs and provincials in the first couple of weeks of July.
