Letter to Bench Staff and Managers 2022

Dear Titans Coaches and Managers,
Thank you for volunteering your time to Titans minor lacrosse.
Coaching and mentoring young people takes a lot of time and energy - it’s important to develop their skills, grow their love of the game and make sure they have fun at the same time.
You are critical to the success of the Titans program not only as leaders of our young athletes but as Titan’s bench staff you have an important administrative process that must be followed.
On that note, the Titans Board will be closely managing key critical steps that must be followed for us to be compliant with ALA requirements. The ALA fines clubs if the registration process is not completed by a certain time frame. As well, coaches are not allowed on the bench during playoffs without their proper training. Therefore, we ask that you follow the below steps and ensure that you meet the requirements outlined below:
Ramp Registration
Please use your child’s login details to register in RAMP using the following link:

All bench staff must register on RAMP. The Titans organization pays for each team staff registered - therefore, we ask that you register maximum one head coach and three assistants (or two assistants and a trainer).
If your team is registering a trainer - ALA Regulation 25 applies. Trainers must have the appropriate certification (example: any St. John Ambulance Emergency First Aid course of 8 hours, or appropriate designation - MD, RN, police, firefighter). The ALA recognizes only one trainer.

Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check (VSCRC)
This year Criminal Record Checks must be uploaded into the RAMP system at time of bench staff registration. Open this link for the letter to take to your local attachment to have the fee waived.

Coach / Manager Meeting - Edmonton - Date: April 5, 2022, Location: Leduc Recreation Centre
Minimum one coach and one manager must attend this meeting. Please note, we are fined $ 50.00 for each no show - this cost will be passed along to your team.
The first time slot from 7 pm to 8 pm will be for the 6U and 8U coaches.
The second time slot from 8:15 to 9:15 will be for the 10U thru 16U teams.

Appropriate Coach Training
All coaches please contact the GELC office at email edmlax@telus.net for further information on this year’s coaching clinics as the process has changed. Titans coaches will not be required to pay for their clinic - the Titans will be invoiced. Should you not show up the Titans will be invoiced $ 25.00 for a no show fee which we will pass along.
