Hello 6U Titans!
By now, you should have now received an email inviting you to join the group on the RAMP mobile app. (You need to download the free app first.) The app is vital and all groups will be utilizing the RAMP App (mobile version) for COVID tracing and attendance. NO EXCEPTIONS! This is mandated from ALA. The Titans Executive are committed to ensuring that all AHS / Alberta Government protocols are met, while meeting the ALA Regulations and the County Facilities expectations. Our volunteers are working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that we are compliant, and thank you for your cooperation and patience.
The list of players in your divisional group is now posted. The groups are now final and there should not be any more adjustments needed. You could be hearing from your head coaches shortly. Please check the website under your division tabs for practice times as well as on the mobile app. Please note that these will be called groups, not teams, as they are not the final teams that we would be creating in the event we can begin game play. Each group will have a minimum of two coaches assigned.
With the new provincial regulations, we are not able to move into team practices or game play right now, but we can continue to hold skill development sessions, so that is what we will do. As restrictions lift, we will remain as current as required and hopefully we can move into game play. The health and safety of our athletes and their families is our priority.
The 6U division groups have a max of 8 players and 2 coaches. We currently have enough players at this level for 4 groups. We are able to use the full floor if we can keep our groups smaller. Now in the facilities, there is a limit of who is able to be in the building. For safety and security, we will require two parent volunteers that will be required to attend each floor time. The volunteers can rotate for different floor times but must be noted on the attendance who they are for each event. One is the COVID Ambassador, and one is the Parent Liaison.
There had been some discussion on the schedule, and I know that there was an expectation on week-only timeframes. With March and April being transition months from hockey to other sports and the current restrictions in place, the schedule was populated based on availability. Moving into May, the new schedule will reflect week-only floor times.
As always, If there are any comments, questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me.
