Its not uncommon for kids to start learning and to experience success in lacrosse at any of our age groups.
Lacrosse game play and strategies are very close to both basketball and hockey and ringette. If you're looking for a fast paced, exciting sport there's no doubt that lacrosse is for you.
Multi Sport Athletes are what modern sports education is recommending!
Lacrosse is set up for players to join clubs according to boundaries provided by the GELC (Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council) and the ALA (Alberta Lacrosse Association).
Titans club boundaries include players from Sherwood Park and Strathcona County.
We have mixed divisions of U7 and U9.
We have separate divisions for U11, U13, U15 and U17.
Players must register in their club according to their current address and location. Please check our registration tab for more information.
What is a drop in lacrosse event?
It is where you can bring your player to come learn about lacrosse. We have coaches running the events, they will run drills and fun games to teach players of all levels about the game of lacrosse.
They are usually 1 hour in length. We recommend full equipment, but the minimum needed is a helmet with a cage, gloves and a stick.
We offer Drop in Lacrosse events pre-season for players to come try it and returning players to stay active.
These are posted on our website and currently cost $5. This usually begin in January and continue until March.
If you are brand new to lacrosse, it is a good idea to email the division director or the drop in coordinator to see if they have extra sticks they can bring to use at a drop in.
The Titans are one of the few clubs in the GELC that field women's teams at all levels (from U11 to U17).
We are co-hosting a women's only tournament, Rock the North, in May 2023, and are proud of continued success of our women's teams.
For those with post secondary interests lacrosse can lead to scholarship opportunities through out the US and even international competition in girls field lacrosse.
Girls with box lacrosse experience often excel and are sought after for girls field lacrosse.
