U11 Division and 2026 Season Info (2016/2017) under 11 years old - ages 9 & 10

2026 Season Information

  • U11 Lacrosse has male and female teams (visit U11 Female Division Homepage for specific info for female teams.)
  • U11 teams will consist of a min 12 runners +1 goalie, up to 18 runners + 2 goalies per team (dependent on registrations)
  • U11 Lacrosse is played in tiers A,B, C
  • U11 will have evaluations to tier players for team formation.
    • Evaluations will consist of skills and parity games. 
    • Evaluations start in March.
    • Please review the Titans Evaluation Policy (final updates being made, check back in January)
      • NOTE: In U11, players DO NOT declare intention to play 'A' during registration.
  • U11 Season Play will begin April 11-12, 2026 at the Southside Soccer Centre.
  • For the remainder of 2026 Box Lacrosse playing season, U11 will usually have 1 weekday game scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday, with a start time of 6:00pm or 7:00pm. 
  • There will be weekend play with Westlock. 
  • U11 will have 1-2 practices per week, Monday through Sunday, for 1 hour.
  • U11 plays in the GELC Playoffs: June 15-26, 2026 
  • There are NO Provincials for U11

  • In U11 each period will be played as run time, except the last 2 minutes of 3rd period will be played as stop time. Run time is defined as straight play except for time outs or goalie water breaks.
  • U11 box lacrosse games shall be played in accordance with Lacrosse Canada Rules according to LTAD Option L
  • U11 Lacrosse will be played in accordance with the World Lacrosse Rulebook and the LC Age and Stage Modifications
    • Alberta Lacrosse Box Lacrosse Rules
    • U11 games use the full rink surface, with a 30 second shot clock, referees, and goalies.
    • Nets are medium size - 4x4 size.
    • All goals, penalties and assists are recorded
    • Crease Dives: Permitted, no cylinder exists
    • Contact: On Ball - Checking; Off-Ball - Arms extended Shadowing (pushing to direct, contain) *No Off-Ball Forceful Cross Checks
    • Crease Rules: Loose Ball in crease = live ball for both the attackers and defenders. NLL Batted Rule - attackers cannot direct a loose ball into the goal that is inside the crease. Defender can pull back into the crease.
    • A differential of 5 goals is not to be posted to the scoreboard, but is recorded on the game sheet. 
  • Titans shorts are required for games *Only available for purchase through Sin Bin
  • Each team gets 2 sets of jerseys (home/away) that are returned at the end of the season
  • Please review our player equipment checklist 
  • The player's stick shall not measure more than 101.6 cm (40"), nor less than 66.04 cm (26") in overall length.
