U7 Playing Info 2026 Season

U7 Division 2026 Season Info  (2020/2021) under 7 years old - ages 5 & 6

Registration for the 2026 season opens on January 5, 2026. The typical lacrosse season for the Sherwood Park Titans U7 begins at the beginning of April.

2026 Season Information

  • U7 is co-ed
  • U7 can have 1 friend request, they must be reciprocal (please email the U7 Director)
  • Games are structured in accordance with the Long Term Athlete Development Program of Lacrosse Canada indicated in the CLA Rule Book - Option X  
    • Games are played with smaller nets and on half the playing surface. 
    • U7 teams play with 9-12 players per team (dependent on total registrations)
    • The player's stick shall not measure more than 101.6 cm (40"), nor less than 66.04 cm (26") in overall length.
  • All teams will participate in 1 weekend of play (Saturday or Sunday) in May, and June against other clubs.
  • Titans will schedule 1, one hour practice/in-house games per week.
  • U7 will have a wrap up GELC Jamboree style tournament on June 13/14, 2026 at the Southside Soccer Centre.
  • JERSEY:  You will be loaned a pinnie for the season, to be returned at the end
  • Titans shorts are required for games *Only available for purchase through Sin Bin
  • Mouthguards are not mandatory for U7 as per ALA Regulation 8.05

Playing Equipment required:

  • Helmet with a full face cage  (Hockey helmet are approved for use, & field lacrosse helmets are approved)
  • Lacrosse Stick
  • Gloves (hockey is acceptable however, lacrosse gloves are more flexible and make it easier for the players to handle their stick while learning)
  • Shoulder pads/ chest protector (can use a hockey one)
  • Kidney belt (specific to the sport of lacrosse)
  • Elbow pads 
  • Indoor runners
  • Titans Lacrosse Shorts (available at Sin Bin)
